SPRING!!!

It's really here! I love spring-time when everything starts to thaw out and things start popping out of the ground. The grass is green and growing now, and leaves are even starting to cover the trees. It has a been a long winter and this is definitely a welcome change. Last night it was actually WARM in our house and we opened up windows and turned on the fans! It's so nice to get some fresh air...

Leaves are filling the trees

Daffodils are blooming...Irises not far behind

And I don't know what these little purple flowers are called but we have a bunch of them...anybody know??

QUICK UPDATE:
Allison did have a birthday this week (Tuesday) but we haven't had her party yet... She has been "celebrating all week" as Dad has been a bit busy. Hopefully we will have some pictures for you after Saturday.

Also, I saw the doctor yesterday and baby is back into head-down position...we were worried for a little while there since last time she was heads up! He did a quick ultrasound just to make sure and said it still looks like a girl. So that is good to know. Here is the picture they gave me...not real great but I thought I would share anyway...

I'm so glad to hear the little one is doing what she's supposed to--hopefully she'll stay that way this time! :) And I agree with you on spring--I love it! We have a bird feeder on the porch where all the finches hang out and their songs have been so pretty lately! And I end up talking to the trees about how pretty they are right now. I guess I'm a tree-hugger through and through. Ha!

I think they're called crocuses, but I could be wrong. I'm jealous that you have daffodils! We have some tulips starting to come up, but yesterday it snowed a few inches, so we'll see if they survive!

Nope, not crocus. My guess in periwinkle: http://images.google.com/images?q=periwinkle&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf8&um=1

I'm going to go with periwinkle...that looks about right. Whatever it is we probably need to trim it back before it takes over!
