Indy visit

We headed down to Indy once again for a Riley visit this week. Normally Megan's appointments are on Mondays since that's when the craniofacial clinic works together, but since this one was just to check her ear tubes with ENT, we were able to go on a different day of the week. Whenever we go down we try to find something fun for the kids to do there and have wanted to check out the childrens museum but since it is closed on Mondays, it has never been an option. So, we took advantage of the opportunity and spent the afternoon at the museum on Wednesday. We lucked out and found $5 off coupons, ordered tickets online, and didn't even have to wait in line (highly recommended)! The kids had fun and were pretty worn out by the end of it all. Their favorite part? The carousel ride, of course!

Weeeeeeee!

And, for those of you who are wondering, Megan is doing great. She did much better on her hearing test this time. One of her tubes has a clot in it so we are doing a simple treatment for that and hopefully it will clear out soon. In another month or so we will go back for a checkup and plan for her next surgery...poor girl. She is a real trooper though and bounces back so fast! We are so grateful for your many thoughts and prayers in her behalf and know that she is being watched over.

Little ballerina

Allison started her dance class this week and LOVES being a ballerina. Her teacher is GREAT with these little girls. Unfortunately, parents are supposed to stay out from now on because it is too distracting to the dancers...but I did snap a few photos on the cell phone during her first class. She is SO excited to go back for more!

A walk in the park

This past week the girls and I have been taking walks in our local park and loving the pretty green trees and river. We really love it here where we live! And the best part...by bedtime they are pretty worn out!

Dancing shoes

Allison is getting ready to start dance classes this summer and she is supposed to wear ballet slippers for it. We took her up to South Bend to buy her special shoes and she was so excited and wanted to try them out as soon as she could! I, however, have never done dance and therefore no nothing about it or the special shoes that you wear for it. I didn't realize you are supposed to sew the elastics on the slippers...at least that is what it seems you are supposed to do with them? Can anyone enlighten me or do we just need to ask the teacher when we get to her first class? She starts on Tuesday and is so excited!
