Allison's off to first grade....We made it through the summer! (Wait, whatever happened to summer?? Maybe I'll get around to that another day...) Here she is, all excited to go. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as exciting.
Allison's new teacher's name is Mrs. Annis. Allison was having a hard time remembering her name so I told her, "remember, it starts with the same letter as your name". Maybe that was a mistake because when Matt asked her what her teacher's name was, she thought for a minute, then remembered the "A". Except, she remembered it as how you say the letter "A" (not "A" as in "Allison"). He looked at me for confirmation of the teacher's name and I said it again for her. "Now I know why she teaches 1st grade and not 8th grade" was Matt's comment. Hopefully she's got it straight now. Although, with 31 years of teaching under her belt, I'll bet it wouldn't be the first time.
