Eeeek
Two posts in one night...I know, pretty crazy, but I couldn't leave this one out. We had a bat in our house tonight! A BAT!!! It freaked me out pretty good, but don't worry, the situation is under control now. He is out of the house now and hopefully far, far away. We have no idea how he got in, but hope this was a fluke thing and will never have to deal with it again! CRAZY!!

There was a story about a bat in the BYU alumni magazine I received today! This girl set down her backpack in her apartment, and a "small, black shape slowly emerged from the back side... I was stunned and relieved to find that it was simply a small bat, who had apparently hitchhiked home unnoticed. I gently gathered the bat. It was calm and never attempted to fly while inside. Once outdoors, however, it quickly took flight, leaving me filled with wonder at my unexpected encounter."
It sounds like this girl took the event a little more calmly than you did :)
That's funny, mom. Actually I was surprised that the first time I ever saw a bat I didn't expect to be saying, "It's cute!" He was a little guy. Although I think if it were in my house I don't think I'd be commenting on its cuteness anymore. :)
