Back to School

You heard me right...it's already back to school time. At least, that's what they tell us at Wal-Mart. Actually, I think this is the first year where I have thought I am ready for school to start up again. Usually summers seem to fly by, with Matt being so busy all school year and having at least a little bit of a break in the summer. So what's different this year? Kindergarten! Allison's not the only one excited about it. Is that bad? (Love you, Allison!) I just think it will be good for her to get out of the house and be a little more busy and a little less...quarrelly...with her sister. With Lauren going to preschool in the fall as well, it will be a lot quieter around here at least for a couple hours a day.

Anyway, the kids are so excited about school starting up--so when they saw the piles of glue sticks and crayons displayed through the aisles of our favorite store in town (listed above), they were ready to stock up. We found their class lists and went on a special trip to the store. And here is what we came home with (Allison insisted on displaying it all so we could take a picture).

The girls didn't seem to mind, but personally I was a bit disappointed that they only girl backpack choices they had were princess and tinkerbell. I'm just wondering how many girls in kindergarten will match this year...I'm pretty sure we aren't the only ones in town that shop there. So there you have it...we are ready! Nauseatingly pink and princessy, but ready for school to start nonetheless.

And of course, a few shots of the girls posing with their stuff.

I always loved getting new supplies for school every fall--and the smell of new crayons! ah-h-h...

Yeah I always loved that time of year, too - new stuff! Those backpacks look huge on the girls! :) It's awesome that everyone is so excited. It'll be a nice new adventure for everyone this fall!

How cute! I can't wait til we can get ready for school too! Back to school time is the best...maybe it's one of the reasons I wanted to be a teacher! I wish your family luck this school year and I hope everyone enjoys themselves (including you mom!)
