Goodbye Little Friends!

Allison finished her last day of preschool last week. She has loved every minute of her time at Little Friends Preschool. On the last day they had a "wet and wild" day where the kids played with water balloons and other water toys. It was a great way to finish up the year! That evening Allison participated in an "end of year celebration" where the preschool kids performed the songs they have learned throughout the year. When it was finished the kids all ran around and played together and had a good time. When it was time to say good bye Allison became very sad and cried the rest of the night. She was so sad that she wouldn't get to see her best friend Jayla any more. We tried to assure her that indeed she would see her again, but she was not satisfied with this. Jayla will be going to a different kindergarten and, well, it just wont be the same any more. I feel sad for her, but she is right...that's just how life goes sometimes and there's not much we can do about it. At the end of the program the teachers handed out little memory books that they made for the kids with photos, artwork, and various projects the kids worked on throughout the year. On a happier note, Lauren is SO EXCITED and CAN'T WAIT to start at Little Friends in the fall!!
