Spring!

The trees are growing leaves again, the flowers are popping up, and the dandelions are starting to dot the yard. I love it! Spring is such a happy season...how could you not? The kids have been enjoying the warmer weather (that comes and goes) and spending time riding their bikes, drawing on the sidewalk, and swinging at the park. Lauren has been anxiously waiting through the winter for these days to come and is so excited when she gets to wear short sleeves!

Riding Bikes

If you look closely, you can see Allison climbing the slide behind Lauren and Megan. In the past, Allison has been a bit timid on the playground. She always gets excited to see the tall twisty slide at the park and assures us that she is brave enough to do it. Then when she gets to the top she chickens out. Well this year she decided she was really going to do it--and she did! Over and over again. She was so proud of herself. I guess all those hours of recess at school have helped her to finally gain some confidence on the playground.
