We are officially getting close! One week from today Megan is scheduled to have her lip repair surgery. It is exciting and scary at the same time. We have full confidence in her doctor and the hospital but I don't think it is ever easy to have your baby taken back to the operating room, regardless. I'm sure there will be challenges in the weeks ahead, like depriving the poor girl of food before she goes under, keeping her hands away from her mouth (her favorite thing!), not to mention the discomfort associated with the surgery and healing. That being said, we know this is the best thing for her and that everything will work out. Our #1 goal right now is for us to all stay healthy. Any illness, even a cold, can postpone surgery. We want our little girl to be as healthy as possible when she goes in. We are grateful that Matt's mom is able to come help us out next week, as we will need all the help we can get!
And one more important bit of news: Megan rolled over today (belly to back)!! Way to go Megan!
*By the way, I am still planning on doing updates for myself and Matt, just have been a bit busy. Hopefully I will get around to it sometime soon.*

We'll pray for her and your family. I can't imagine what she will go through and how hard it must be for you as a parent. We'll be thinking of you guys!
Hey guys!! You are in our prayers. Hope everything goes well. Love you guys!!
I have greatly enjoyed your recent posts highlighting individual family members. Our prayers are with you all as well as the day approaches, and we will be very anxious to see the initial outcome.
I can definitely see what you mean about being nervous and excited at the same time. I think the one of hardest things is you can't explain to Megan WHY she has to be hungry and restrained. I'm hoping for a safe and successful surgery, with a super speedy recovery! Our thoughts will be with you!
I'll pray that everyone stays healthy so that things can go off as scheduled, and for a quick healing for Megan! Thanks for keeping us posted!
